Trilogy's Simon Dart and Eddy Obermüller held closed door demonstrations throughout the Hi-Fi Show 2013 on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of October. The new show format, masterminded by Hi-Fi News & Record Review's Paul Miller, was very popular. It gave people the opportunity to sit down behind a closed door in a quiet room and soak up a less hectic and transient experience than traditionally offered at Hi-Fi shows.
The system spot lit our new midi high end amplifiers, the 908 tube preamplifier and 992 hybrid monaural power amplifier. They were partnered with Sonus Faber Guarneri Evolutions (courtesy of Absolute Sounds). An Estoteric K-01 performed digital duties.
Vinyl playback was via a Brinkman Balance with both Brinkman EMT and Kiseki Blue cartridges (thanks to our UK distributor Symmetry) through our 907 Phono Stage.
Trilogy's sister company Isol-8 kept the all important system power clean with a SubStation Integra, so we could deliver the best possible performance for our listeners. Thanks also to Cog Audio for supplying the Stillpoints equipment support. We had lots of positive feedback, it was good to receive handshakes at the end of a demonstration and see people return for another listen. We intend to return next year.
